Setting up POP email in Microsoft Outlook 2007 or earlier

Description

POP mailboxes can be setup in older versions of Outlook quite simply. This guide will walk you through the steps needed, using screenshots from Microsoft Outlook 2007. However, the steps will be similar for earlier versions of Microsoft Outlook.

To begin, open Outlook, and click Tools > Account Settings....

In the Account Settings window, click New...

Select Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP, then click Next >

Tick the 'Manually configure server settings or additional server types' box, then click Next >

Make sure that Internet E-mail is the selected option, then click Next >

In the Add New E-Mail Account window, enter your account settings as follows, depending on your hosting plan:

Please use the settings from the table below which reflect what email service you have with us.

Linux Mailbox Settings

In order to use our outgoing mailserver we require you to use authentication.

Once the details are entered correctly, you should see something similar to the below screen shot. Click Next > once you've filled in the details:

Your account should now be correctly set up. Click Finish to complete.
