There are several different changes you can make to your domain name through Mission Control or with our customer service team. This guide applies to customers with VS numbers vs446000 through to vs454999. Other customers will have to contact our Customer Service team to enquire about changes to their domain.
Renewing a domain name
Your domain name is vital to your online presence. That’s why it’s incredibly important to renew your domain name before it expires. Renewing your domain yearly (and with plenty of time to spare) is great for protecting your online investment.
Note: All domains with WebCentral will automatically renew, except .au domains which can only be manually renewed, and only for a period of two years.*
*For customers with .au domains, an email notification will be sent to the primary email contact 90, 60 and 30 days prior to the renewal date, allowing you sufficient time to either respond to the job through Mission Control or contact us on 1800 800 099.
Changing DNS Records
Domain names are an easy to remember phrase that points to an IP Address. The IP address is the actual address of the web server.
To point your domain at a different IP address, log into Mission Control and click the Service Management Area link, in the bottom left quadrant. You should then see this:

Hover your mouse over the Services tab and you will get a drop down with some options. You will need to select DNS then DNS Records.
You’ll now be presented with a page similar to this which will let you make changes to your DNS:
Click any existing record to edit it or use the New DNS Entry link on the left to create a new record. Any changes made here will take 2-4 hours to propogate to the world and become fully effective.
Changing Domain Registration Details
Customers on the MCAM portal will need to request any changes to domain registration details by logging a job in Mission Control.
For a GTLD (Global Top-Level Domain) such as .com, .net, etc., simply let us know which contact you need changed and which details you would like to change for that contact, we will action the job and respond when the updates have been made.
For country-coded domain names, such as .au, .nz, etc., you'll need to log into the registrar portal to make the changes yourself. If you've forgotten the Registry Key that you need to login to that portal, log a job with us and let us know so we can send you the Registry Key Recovery Form.
